Plague, 2020.

When covid first emerged in northern Italy in February 2020, I found myself unexpectedly in the midst of the very first lockdown in Europe. Combining fictional and documentary approaches to the visual image, my research process also focused on the World Health Organization's coronavirus press briefings, which began in January 2020 and increased in urgency throughout the early stages of the pandemic.
